This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the implementation, execution, and enhancement of automation solutions throughout the healthcare revenue cycle.
• Discover automation opportunities within patient access, coding, billing, claims management, payment posting, denials, collections, and reporting.
• Assess opportunities for process improvement across revenue cycle operations.
• Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, milestones, risks, and implementation activities for automation.
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to prioritize automation projects.
• Analyze comprehensive processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, rework, and operational risks.
• Standardize workflows and operational practices to facilitate scalable automation solutions.
• Redesign workflows to enhance productivity, quality, turnaround time, and employee experience.
• Monitor, project, and report on KPIs related to automation performance, operational efficiency, financial outcomes, and adoption rates.
• Oversee the implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization of AI, machine learning, workflow automation, intelligent document processing, revenue cycle technologies, and system integrations.
• Work in partnership with IT, data, analytics, vendors, finance, compliance, executive leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Manage the full automation lifecycle from business case development to stabilization and optimization.
• Ensure that automation solutions comply with standards for compliance, security, audit, and regulations.
• Convert operational challenges into scalable automation solutions and actionable business requirements.
• Facilitate change management, training, and user adoption initiatives.
• Communicate project progress, risks, outcomes, and ROI to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities for automation implementations.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and subject matter expertise on automation tools, workflows, and revenue cycle processes.
• Assist in knowledge sharing, documentation, and training initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, information systems, finance, operations, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, process improvement, automation, project management, or related areas.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in leading automation projects, process improvement initiatives, or cross-functional implementations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle functions, workflows, payer processes, and regulatory considerations.
• Experience in implementing automation technologies and process improvement initiatives in complex healthcare settings.
• Capability to support cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with operational, technical, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, Meditech, or similar systems is preferred.
• Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related certifications are preferred.
• Experience in supporting AI-enabled workflow automation or process transformation initiatives is preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA and CMS regulations, is preferred.
