This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take complete ownership of AI engineering projects throughout the portfolio — from defining requirements to overseeing architecture, development, and production deployment.
• Collaborate with engineering to design GCP infrastructure across all environments, including Cloud Run, IAM, VPC network isolation, CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, observability, and security controls.
• Convert business requirements into technically accurate specifications and proactively challenge the scope or approach when a better solution is available.
• Spearhead company-wide AI infrastructure deployment and upskilling initiatives, which encompass training programs, office hours, super-user community development, and AI governance frameworks.
• Create PRDs, architecture documents, and project scopes that empower contractors and engineering partners to work independently.
• Anticipate build timelines and resource needs across a portfolio of simultaneous initiatives.
• Oversee and quality-check the work output of external engineering contractors.
• Proactively identify and promote system-level enhancements — providing a recommendation and a plan rather than just an observation.
• Establish documentation and operational foundations that are scalable beyond individual projects.
• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and technical program or product management.
• Daily hands-on use of LLM-based AI tools (such as Claude, Gemini, or similar) as a fundamental part of your professional tasks — not just familiarity, but fluency.
• Proven ability to architect and manage GCP infrastructure from start to finish, independently of external guidance.
• Demonstrated skill in transitioning from an unclear problem statement to a well-structured technical plan on your own.
• Strong aptitude for engaging with cross-functional business stakeholders, discerning their true needs, and translating those into technically robust specifications.
• Experience in writing PRDs, architecture documents, and detailed project scopes.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Performance-based incentive compensation (varies by role).
• Equity opportunities.
• 100% employer-paid health benefits for employees.
• 50% - 70% employer-paid health, dental, and vision for dependents (depending on plan selection).
• 100% paid life and long-term disability insurance.
• 401(k) with a generous company match.
• Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) with a discount.
• Monthly cell phone stipend.
• Flexible paid time off.
• 13 paid holidays plus 3 company wellness days.
• Excellent parental leave policy.
• A fantastic culture with substantial career advancement opportunities.
• Become part of a mission-driven organization!
