
Senior Manager, Application Development Engineering – Provider Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +14 more states.
• Supervise team members tasked with the design, development, and implementation of intricate enterprise software solutions.
• Collaborate with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and subject matter experts.
• Oversee Senior Application Development Engineers engaged in large-scale, complex application development projects and programs.
• Lead initiatives related to project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Monitor and communicate the progress and outcomes of applications.
• Develop training and career development plans for Application Developers.
• Manage third-party development teams and ensure vendors adhere to standards, policies, and performance expectations.
• Identify and assess risks while participating in mitigation and control measures.
• Liaise with Application and Infrastructure Management operational groups during service transitions.
• Collaborate with Security and SRE teams to ensure compliance with security and change management policies.
• Spearhead the design and development of proof-of-concept and prototype application environments.
• Handle hiring, training, performance reviews, salary evaluations, leadership, technical guidance, and coaching for developers.
• Set operational objectives and delegate tasks to maintain stable application development operations.
• Formulate and communicate departmental objectives, while motivating team members.
• Hold teams accountable for meeting functional, quality, and timeline goals.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned and adhere to established policies and standards.
• Bachelor's degree with over 6 years of relevant experience, including prior management experience, or equivalent experience gained through applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skills.
• Proficiency in Application Development, Applications Architecture, and DevOps industry best practices.
• Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Hands-on technical experience with databases and data governance, preferably including familiarity with graph model databases.
• Capability to lead and manage others effectively.
• Strong collaboration and team-building skills.
• Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback.
• Competence in communicating and making recommendations to senior management.
• Effective conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering impactful presentations.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
