This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +42 more states.
• Develop and implement EHR use cases.
• Determine business and functional requirements, translating them along with workflows into technical specifications.
• Oversee documentation efforts related to discovery and implementation.
• Ensure that requirements and future-state workflows are distinctly outlined.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to identify tasks and their associated estimates.
• Assist in the execution of vendor upgrades, system modifications, and environment maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate matrix-style teams, which include providers, project managers, technical resources, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and vendor representatives.
• Document business and functional requirements, system specifications, as well as testing attributes and results.
• Analyze current-state processes and work together with clinical business and reporting users to design future-state processes.
• Identify and document any process and data deficiencies.
• Create and finalize project deliverables such as use cases, business requirements, technical specifications, scope documents, gap analyses, impact assessments, and test scripts.
• Provide guidance and direction to project teams and direct reports regarding project planning and execution, standards and practices, processes and procedures, and career development.
• Engage in annual budgeting, capital processes, and quality improvement activities.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Prior management experience is essential.
• Hold two or more of the following Epic Certifications: Ambulatory WITH Healthy Planet OR Healthy Planet with any of the following: Beacon, Willow, Prelude, Cadence, Resolute Professional Billing, HIM (Health Information Management), MyChart, Beaker, Welcome Kiosk, Rover, Haiku, EpicCare Link, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Bridges, Reporting Workbench, Orders.
• A Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in configuring, designing, and supporting an Epic solution.
• Prior application configuration experience is necessary.
• Familiarity with Ambulatory workflows.
• Background in test planning and execution, test case development, and meeting project quality standards.
• Experience managing large projects.
• Strong understanding of clinical applications and the healthcare IT industry.
• Knowledge of configurable applications and monitoring practices.
• Possess analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical project staff and customers.
