Senior Manager, AI Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand one or more AI Engineering teams dedicated to delivering production AI capabilities and platform services.

• Drive the execution of strategic AI initiatives across the P&T organization, which includes customer-facing features, internal AI platform capabilities, and supporting engineering systems.

• Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional engineering leaders to convert roadmap priorities into well-defined technical plans, delivery milestones, and team outcomes.

• Implement robust engineering management practices encompassing planning, execution, quality assurance, incident response, observability, and continuous improvement.

• Mentor engineering managers and senior individual contributors while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

• Assist in defining and enforcing best practices for the development of AI systems, MLOps, service reliability, security, and performance.

• Support architectural and design decisions for scalable, low-latency, and highly available AI systems and services.

• Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent across AI, software, and platform domains.

• Enhance collaboration among globally distributed teams and ensure effective delivery across organizational boundaries.

• Contribute to organizational design, capacity planning, and quarterly and annual planning aligned with P&T and AI objectives.

• Function as a delivery-oriented engineering leader who balances innovation with reliability; elevate execution discipline, technical quality, and cross-functional collaboration; cultivate healthy teams with clear accountability, strong coaching, and high trust; make pragmatic decisions, identify risks early, and drive issues to resolution; and promote a culture that values customer impact, learning velocity, and engineering excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or related technical fields.

• At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams, including managing managers and/or senior engineers in a high-growth setting.

• A proven history of delivering production-grade software, AI, or data products at scale.

• Strong technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native services, and modern software engineering practices.

• Experience in building or operating AI and ML systems, which includes model integration, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with MLOps and platform capabilities essential for supporting reliable AI product delivery.

• A solid understanding of engineering quality, security, observability, and operational excellence practices.

• Experience working effectively with Product, Design, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to align senior stakeholders around priorities, trade-offs, and execution plans.

• Demonstrated success in hiring and developing high-performing engineering teams.

• Preferred experience in leading teams that develop AI-powered product features in cybersecurity, enterprise software, or data-intensive environments.

• Preferred experience with large-scale event processing, real-time systems, or detection and analytics platforms.

• Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, along with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD practices is preferred.

• Preferred experience with LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, retrieval systems, or applied AI platform services.

• A background in endpoint security, cloud security, SIEM, or related security domains is preferred.
