Senior Manager, Accounts Payable Shared Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage Invoice-to-Pay dedicated teams across three locations in North America.

• Foster process enhancements, mentoring, professional development, ongoing education, and achieving results.

• Evaluate workflows, processes, and operational metrics to uncover root causes and advocate for enhancements within procure-to-pay processes.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts, problem resolution, and teamwork to establish scalable procure-to-pay procedures.

• Formulate and convert strategy into actionable operational goals, objectives, and process roadmaps.

• Ensure that accounts payable practices adhere to state and federal regulations.

• Assist in month-end closing by preparing accruals and performing reconciliations.

• Engage with auditors and provide necessary reports and reconciliations to facilitate timely and accurate audits.

• Report directly to the Vice President and Corporate Controller.

• Aid in the design and implementation of a shared services model for accounts payable teams and workflows.

• Work collaboratively across operations, procurement, finance, and treasury departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.

• At least 10 years of experience, including experience with ERP payables systems, continuous improvement methodologies, and managing teams.

• Significant experience in accounts payable operations within mid-sized to large manufacturing firms, including end-to-end procure-to-pay processes.

• High level of proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP software, ideally Infor Syteline ERP.

• Familiarity with process enhancement, business operations, project management, change management, and the implementation of automation and technology systems.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.

• Subject matter expertise that enables independent and reliable execution of critical functions.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

• Judicious decision-making skills related to job responsibilities.

• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, and oversee multiple projects concurrently.
