This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and coordinate comprehensive annual statutory reporting for various international entities.
• Manage adjustments from US GAAP to local GAAP, including financial statements and necessary filings.
• Lead and nurture a team of accountants, comprising both full-time staff and contractors.
• Evaluate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close deliverables for key balance sheet areas.
• Inspect account reconciliations, journal entries, and analytical outcomes.
• Provide monthly management reporting, analytics, and executive review presentations for Finance leadership.
• Resolve complex transactions under local GAAP and collaborate with Technical Accounting on US GAAP treatment.
• Offer guidance to Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Accounts Payable, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other business partners.
• Enhance close optimization and reinforce close governance through automation and AI-driven tools.
• Convey close results, significant accounting matters, and the status of statutory reporting to management.
• Develop, sustain, and refine accounting policies and process documentation.
• Lead and assist with ad hoc initiatives and cross-functional projects, including system upgrades and onboarding new entities.
• Report to the Director of General Ledger Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of advancing accounting experience, including within publicly traded companies.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct management experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience in public accounting and industry is preferred.
• Strong operational and technical accounting expertise in both US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Background in preparing, reviewing, or overseeing financial statements and statutory reports.
• Experience collaborating with local auditors across various jurisdictions.
• Technical accounting knowledge related to debt, investments, prepaids, intangibles, and fixed assets.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient in accounting and financial systems, including Sage Intacct, BlackLine, BNA, Coupa, Workday, and Workiva.
• Advanced computer skills, encompassing Google and/or MS Office suites and spreadsheet data analysis.
• Experience in a global work environment.
• Capability to manage multiple projects, processes, and deadlines concurrently under pressure.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking abilities.
• High level of integrity.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for internal events and team meetings.
• Reliable internet access for remote work outside a Workiva office.
