Senior Accounting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure accurate recording of the company's transactions by comprehensively understanding and monitoring operations while correctly applying accounting standards.

• Guarantee adherence to the accounting close schedule through efficient processes and performance indicators.

• Facilitate decision-making in various departments by clarifying financial impacts and providing relevant financial information.

• Reconcile and analyze accounting balances, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.

• Evaluate account variances and prepare explanations for significant movements and trends.

• Ensure timely and legally compliant submission of the accounting department's ancillary tax and regulatory obligations.

• Prepare financial statements and accompanying notes in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.

• Generate financial reports for senior management.

• Recommend and implement process improvements and automation initiatives within the department.

• Assist in internal and external audits by supplying necessary information and documentation.

• Conduct variance and nonconformity analyses, establish action plans, monitor their execution, and evaluate the effectiveness of the measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Postgraduate degree or MBA, ideally in Finance or Taxation.

• Significant experience in Accounting.

• Background in project and process management.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with SAP, particularly in the FI module.

• Familiarity with other SAP modules (SD, MM, and CO) is advantageous.

• Experience in or close collaboration with Controllership is beneficial.

• Understanding of accounting entries related to tax operations is a plus.

• Awareness of the impacts and changes resulting from Tax Reform is advantageous.
