This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop comprehensive plans for staff development and provide technical guidance and support within the accounting division.
• Collaborate with managers and team members to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
• Engage in the creation and management of staff objectives; mentor accounting staff on business and accounting principles.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, including the assessment of stipend and patient accounts receivable, payroll and other obligations, and ownership equity.
• Supervise the daily functions of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams.
• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements for the entity, along with income statements and balance sheets for departments and sites.
• Establish and oversee internal controls for asset management; create and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare cash-basis financial statements for medical groups for tax reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Controller/Controller to produce annual GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Organize annual audits for all entities and ensure adherence to fiscal deadlines and data requirements.
• Develop and implement systems to collect data for informed financial information and planning.
• Guarantee timely monthly closing processes and accurate record-keeping of transactions.
• Construct and update financial reports while delivering insightful financial analysis.
• Work alongside Treasury on inter-company transactions and relay accounting information to physician leadership, financial analysts, and managers.
• Assist with NetSuite bank reconciliations and support the implementation of EPBCS.
• Identify areas for efficiency improvements and reduction of bank fees.
• Collaborate with IT and department heads to ensure smooth execution of inter-departmental projects and operations.
• Provide leadership and oversight for assigned financial functions and assist in the creation of finance-related service level agreements.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required.
• Prior experience with large ERP systems and financial reporting tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, ADP, Coupa, and Concur is preferred.
