Senior Manager, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Establish and oversee strategic initiatives within the Controllership organization.

• Manage high-profile projects from concept and strategy through to planning, execution, and launch.

• Engage in M&A integration, global system rollouts, and enhancements to operational processes utilizing AI and automation.

• Promote efficiency, scalability, and compliance throughout the Controllership function.

• Provide support to stakeholders in Accounting, Tax, SEC Reporting, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Payroll.

• Collaborate with teams from R&D, GTM, Billing Platform, Financial Systems Enablement, IT/Support, ERP PMO, M&A, and Finance.

• Spearhead complex strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage automation opportunities.

• Contribute to CFO-level automation projects through knowledge sharing, advocacy, and support.

• Lead organization-wide change management initiatives and maintain communication with stakeholders.

• Occasionally travel for project or team meetings in person.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Accounting.

• Preferred experience in global public companies with over $1B in annual revenue.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with the ability to interpret, document, and operationalize new and complex accounting scenarios.

• Direct experience with SOX, including risk identification, assessment, and implementation of suitable mitigations.

• Proven experience managing cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.

• Demonstrated success in automating accounting and operational processes.

• Practical experience with a variety of automation tools.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in building effective relationships across various organizations and levels.

• Capacity to codify information and create and maintain permanent institutional documentation.

• Familiarity with Oracle ERP or similar systems, including implementation and troubleshooting (preferred).
