This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Manage a portfolio of clients that requires monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and tax compliance documentation.
• Analyze business performance and deliver commercial insights along with recommendations.
• Gain an understanding of clients’ business models, key drivers, and performance metrics.
• Assess and question accounting treatments related to inventory, gross profit margins, accruals, prepayments, financing arrangements, and fixed assets.
• Review the work of junior and intermediate team members, offering constructive feedback.
• Prepare annual financial statements and compliance documents for companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain client relationships and act as a primary contact for all financial and accounting issues.
• Ensure that client work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with statutory obligations.
• Prepare and review income tax returns and determine tax obligations.
• Identify tax risks and planning opportunities; research and apply relevant tax legislation.
• Offer practical advice on routine tax matters and escalate more complex issues as needed.
• Supervise the workflow of 1–2 team members, assist with training, allocate tasks, and manage deadlines.
• Support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and process efficiency.
• Serve as a technical resource for queries related to accounting, tax, and management reporting.
• Promote a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team environment.
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety protocols, and other reasonable duties.
• Demonstrated senior-level management accounting experience as indicated by the role title and responsibilities.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing management reports, financial statements, tax compliance documentation, annual financial statements, and income tax returns.
• Familiarity with accounting treatments concerning inventory, gross profit margins, accruals, prepayments, financing arrangements, and fixed assets.
• Ability to compute tax obligations for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Capacity to identify tax risks and planning opportunities while applying tax legislation to client situations.
• Skill in developing year-end tax planning scenarios.
• Experience supervising, reviewing, coaching, and providing technical support to 1–2 team members.
• Ability to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Competence in managing client relationships and delivering work punctually and within budget.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in line with the Health and Safety in Employment Act.
• Availability from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippines time, with a total of 8 working hours required.
