Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering, SMP/E

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute systems programming for IBM z/OS / MVS.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Install and manage mainframe software.

• Engage with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Work with VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Provide support for IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Offer technical leadership and assist with project/program management and stakeholder communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming.

• Proficient in SMP/E software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Background in mainframe software installation and administration.

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Understanding of VTAM and TCP/IP.

• Experience with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Insight into mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Experience using BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Capable of providing technical leadership, project/program management, and stakeholder communication.
