This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide technical leadership for the Mainframe Automation team.
• Drive the design, development, and optimization of automation solutions.
• Integrate functionalities across Envision X, AIR, and Sidekick platforms.
• Lead the architecture of Automation Point, OPS/MVS, and z/OSMF environments.
• Collaborate with various teams to translate intricate business and operational needs into scalable and resilient solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable automation across diverse platforms.
• Align tool functionalities with intricate business requirements.
• Develop solutions that minimize or eliminate manual interventions through automated corrective actions.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality solutions utilizing Agile development methodologies.
• Establish technical direction and advocate effective engineering practices.
• Assess existing tools, identify systemic gaps and opportunities for improvement, and drive enhancements for proactive issue detection.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with a preference for 10 years of development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A strong passion for delivering a world-class client experience and developing quality solutions through technology.
• Driven by the challenge of solving complex problems and enhancing tool performance through automation.
• An eagerness to learn; naturally curious and views every challenge as a growth opportunity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in software development and programming, including code writing and documentation.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as REXX and Assembler.
• Experience with code hosting platforms for version control and source code management, like GitHub.
• Knowledge of software development issue tracking and Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Bugzilla.
• Understanding of mainframe operating systems and their components, specifically z/OS and MVS.
• Experience with software packaging and distribution.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT operations management (ITOM).
• Comprehension of the ITIL Framework.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodology principles and practices.
