This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assemble various vehicle subsystems, ranging from basic systems to body and suspension systems.
• Assess mesh quality and the consistency of properties and connections, including rigid elements, bushings, and weld points.
• Create acoustic cavities while adhering to measurement points.
• Integrate subsystems and construct BIW, TBIW, and Full Vehicle models.
• Execute structure–fluid coupling.
• Integrate the Body and Powertrain.
• Conduct Modal FRF, dynamic stiffness, acoustic response, powertrain noise, road noise, and direct response analyses.
• Utilize Nastran, including SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, and SOL111.
• Identify global modes in BIW and TBIW models.
• Interpret FRFs and transfer functions.
• Assess sound pressure levels in Pa, dB, and dB(A).
• Analyze results under various conditions, particularly focusing on powertrain noise scenarios such as WOT and IDLE.
• Identify transfer paths (TPA).
• Suggest structural enhancements to minimize vibration and noise.
• Conduct CAE-to-test correlation.
• Prepare and deliver reports.
• Investigate the root cause of peaks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or a related field).
• Minimum of 3 years of CAE experience, emphasizing vehicle safety.
• Profound understanding of the Finite Element Method (FEM), material modeling, contacts, and nonlinearity.
• Experience with pre-processing tools such as ANSA (preferred) or HyperMesh.
• Proficiency in post-processing tools such as META (preferred) or HyperView.
• Background in safety simulations, including Crash, Pedestrian Protection, Occupant Protection, Rollover, Pendulum, and related analyses.
• Capability to interpret results, including energy, acceleration, and deformation.
• Analytical and organized approach with a strong focus on problem-solving.
• Advanced or fluent English skills.
• Experience with other solvers (e.g., Abaqus or Nastran) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CAE-to-physical-test correlation is beneficial.
• Programming/scripting abilities (Python, TCL) are a plus.
• Knowledge of HPC environments (cluster or cloud) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
