Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable AI proofs-of-concept aimed at illustrating a clear progression from prototype to enterprise-level solutions.

• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, platform teams, and AI software engineers to convert vague business requirements into actionable AI solutions that deliver measurable value.

• Design and execute contemporary AI systems utilizing LLMs, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, data pipelines, APIs, cloud-native services, and enterprise platforms.

• Evaluate technical risks, data preparedness, integration complexity, user experience, security factors, performance, costs, and business implications.

• Generate reusable technical resources such as reference architectures, reusable components, documentation, decision records, and handoff materials.

• Exemplify robust engineering practices, mentor peers, enhance delivery methodologies, and foster ownership and accountability in uncertain, fast-paced environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR High school diploma / GED with 10 years of relevant experience.

• 4-6 years of pertinent experience in AI engineering, machine learning engineering, software engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or similar technical positions.

• Proven experience in developing full-stack AI-powered applications focused on scalability, security, evaluation, and maintainability.

• In-depth knowledge of LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, agentic workflows, tool utilization, orchestration frameworks, and AI evaluation techniques.

• Proven experience in defining and implementing AI solution evaluation methodologies.

• Capability to transform unclear business challenges into feasible technical strategies while assessing feasibility, value, risks, and scalability pathways.

• Familiarity with AWS Cloud, data pipelines, integration architecture, containers, CI/CD, observability, and secure development practices.

• Strong foundation in software engineering, ideally with Python, testing, version control, modular design, documentation, and maintainable code.

• Ability to judiciously leverage AI tools to enhance engineering productivity and automate repetitive tasks.

• Exceptional communication skills, ownership mentality, and cross-functional leadership abilities.

• Competence to effectively collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, platform teams, and AI and software engineers.
