Senior Logistics Staff Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee tooling logistics operations both domestically and internationally across North America.

• Ensure timely delivery, visibility, and return of tooling assets.

• Act as the main escalation point for transportation, customs, and logistics service challenges.

• Formulate logistics strategies to enhance service, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

• Guarantee adherence to customs, import/export, transportation, and trade regulations.

• Manage ATA Carnets, temporary imports/exports, customs bonds, Free Trade Zone activities, and compliance programs.

• Serve as the regional liaison for customs authorities regarding audits, inspections, and regulatory issues.

• Reduce operational and compliance risks through precise documentation and reporting.

• Oversee freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation providers, and logistics partners.

• Manage carrier performance, supplier assessments, contract support, and transportation sourcing.

• Supervise freight expenditures, invoice auditing, cost management, budget performance, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure data integrity and reporting within logistics and tooling management systems.

• Develop and track KPIs, compliance metrics, and operational dashboards.

• Mentor, train, and develop logistics staff while acting as the regional logistics subject matter expert.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain, including international import/export operations.

• Familiarity with customs regulations, international trade compliance, and transportation management.

• Experience in managing logistics service providers, freight operations, and transportation-related projects.

• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/logistics management systems.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by business needs.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting power generation, industrial, manufacturing, or field service operations.

• Preferred: Understanding of ATA Carnets, Free Trade Zones, temporary import/export programs, and customs compliance processes.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP, ETM, transportation management systems, and logistics analytics.

• Preferred: Previous leadership experience managing personnel, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation and hand-carry logistics operations.
