This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Collaborate and strategize with seed production managers to ensure timely supply, shipping schedules, and effective communication with customers regarding deliveries.

• Generate and oversee seed shipments within logistics tracking platforms.

• Detect and address any trucking delays or issues in coordination with customers and suppliers.

• Handle freight negotiations and coordinate daily logistics activities with the freight team.

• Facilitate product transportation and resolve any arising issues.

• Conduct research to establish and maintain efficient routing and dispatch execution.

• Enhance routes to control costs while minimizing out-of-route and empty mileage.

• Offer customer service and support to business units and stakeholders utilizing order tracking, sales, logistics, and inventory management systems.

• Build and sustain strategic relationships with carriers.

• Oversee seed quality assurance and collaborate with suppliers throughout the seed production contract process.

• Keep records and generate reports during shipping seasons and year-end activities.

• Act as a liaison between client plants, terminal storage facilities, internal sales/marketing teams, and customers to achieve sales and delivery execution objectives.

• Foster a robust safety culture, adhere to safety policies and regulations, and identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

• Execute additional assigned seed operational duties.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics.

• Familiarity with the seed industry and quality assurance practices.

• Comprehensive knowledge of standard shipping practices for both bulk and packaged seed.

• Proficient in the MS Office suite.

• Proven capability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience with logistics tools and ERP systems.

• Selected candidates may need to pass pre-employment screenings, which may include drug tests, criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, and/or FMCSA Clearinghouse screenings.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
