Senior Localization Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounts that are directly assigned, ensuring project planning, execution, tracking, delivery, and closure align with Welocalize's standard processes and tools.

• Assist the Operations Squad Lead with large enterprise accounts.

• Take ownership of project-level customer relationships and partner with account directors and production teams to enhance delivery, client satisfaction, quality, and profitability.

• Supervise and guide global internal and external teams, including both direct and indirect reports.

• Prepare, analyze, and implement project plans in accordance with Welocalize standards.

• Develop project schedules, estimates, and proposals for client approval.

• Identify risks and strategically plan actions to mitigate potential issues.

• Function with moderate support and promptly recognize and escalate issues as they arise.

• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, vendors, and other departments.

• Establish and nurture customer relationships at both project and program levels.

• Collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement, profitability, and efficiency/automation.

• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with clients, production business units, and other stakeholders.

• Ensure accurate finance systems data is maintained and manage invoice approvals.

• Provide weekly reports on project status, budget versus actuals, time management, and client/vendor issues.

• Maintain project profitability through effective margin management.

• Plan, prepare, and conduct quarterly business reviews with clients in person.

• Develop and prepare necessary process documentation.

• Oversee QA projects, including resource management, defect management, and reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree along with relevant industry experience in lieu of a Master’s Degree is acceptable.

• Demonstrated success in Project Management.

• Experience working internationally or directly with international product development.

• Background in a technology-related company.

• Proven experience managing large clients, accounts, and projects.

• A history of success in handling complex eLearning and Multimedia projects is advantageous.

• Experience in drafting client documents such as SOWs, proposals, processes, and post-mortems.

• Established track record of actively contributing to process development and innovative ideas.

• Proven involvement in new client sales cycles, including presentations, analysis, recommendations, and relationship building.

• Experience in managing financial budgets, budget reconciliation, and budget reporting.

• Familiarity with Translation Management Systems such as XTM and Smartling.

• Experience with AI tools (e.g., GPT, Claude) and optimizing processes and workflows using AI.

• High energy and a positive attitude, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
