Senior Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service by gathering necessary documents to underwrite loans.

• Request third-party documentation through direct communication with customers and/or Loan Officers.

• Provide accurate disclosures mandated by relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

• Evaluate and analyze borrowers’ credit, employment, income, and assets prior to submitting loans for underwriting.

• Compile complete loan packages in the correct order for underwriting processes.

• Confirm required documentation and complete loan checklists effectively.

• Ensure application completeness and accuracy while identifying potential underwriting challenges.

• Prepare loan approval summaries, Forms 1008 and 1003, ensuring document accuracy throughout.

• Liaise with Loan Originators, customers, and Underwriters to secure necessary documentation.

• Examine loans for compliance with mortgage-related regulations and generate required disclosures.

• Acquire property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff details.

• Verify vendor orders, invoices, and applicant E-file documentation thoroughly.

• Oversee the loan pipeline and submit reports within designated turnaround times.

• Assist in the loan setup process as needed.

• Record loan-application communications in the conversation log diligently.

• Train and assist in supervising new Loan Processors and other processing staff.

• Support closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing teams in resolving investor suspense items.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Proficiency in Encompass is essential.

• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations is necessary.

• General understanding of mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements.

• Familiarity with DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows is expected.

• Strong math and analytical skills are important.

• Excellent communication abilities are required.

• Proficient prioritization and time management skills are needed.

• Availability to work flexible hours and overtime if required.

• Must be able to work within Pacific Standard Time Zone hours.
