Senior LIMS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Deliver L2/L3 application support for LabVantage LIMS across more than 40 global locations.

• Address incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA timelines through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Design, develop, and implement configurations, workflows, and customizations for LIMS.

• Assist in the development of new features that align with Quality and R&D requirements.

• Oversee integrations between LIMS, laboratory instruments, ERP systems, MES/Manufacturing systems, and data platforms.

• Provide support for API integrations and data migration processes.

• Ensure adherence to GxP, GMP, GLP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO standards.

• Maintain audit trails, validation documentation, and change control protocols.

• Assist with IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities.

• Promote workflow automation, process standardization, and performance enhancement.

• Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of practical experience in LIMS support and development.

• Preferred experience with LabVantage LIMS; LabWare or STARLIMS experience is also considered as equivalent platforms.

• Experience in multi-site or global deployment settings is preferred.

• Strong expertise in SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Java, JavaScript, web-based applications, and REST/SOAP APIs.

• Knowledge of LIMS BASIC, LabVantage configuration, and visual workflows.

• Understanding of laboratory processes in QC and R&D environments, including sample lifecycle management and testing workflows.

• Familiarity with regulatory and validation requirements.

• Ability to work collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams, including Quality, R&D, IT, and external vendors.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proactive problem-solving approach and capability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Business Objects.
