Senior Lifecycle Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete lifecycle program across email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app communications.

• Transform signups into paying subscribers.

• Enhance retention through a strong collaboration with the Product team.

• Reactivate inactive subscribers.

• Develop personalization, dynamic journeys, and next-best-action functionalities.

• Establish and lead the lifecycle maturity roadmap.

• Collaborate with Data and Product teams to shape the lifecycle system, including data foundations, segmentation, triggers, events, experimentation, content supply, and feedback mechanisms.

• Work together with Product on in-app interactions, onboarding processes, and retention strategies.

• Oversee the metrics for conversion from signup to paid subscriptions, cohort retention rates, reactivation rates, and contributions to customer lifetime value (LTV).

• Utilize AI for content creation, segment modeling, journey design, and testing.

• Recruit and manage a Lifecycle Manager as the program expands.

• Provide insights to the Product, Paid Social, and Brand teams.

• Report directly to the VP of Data.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a full-stack lifecycle operator in a consumer app or subscription-based business.

• Proven track record of deploying across email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app communications.

• Expertise in developing lifecycle capabilities such as personalization, dynamic journeys, or next-best-action logic.

• Extensive experience with Customer.io or similar platforms like Braze or Iterable.

• Strong understanding of data foundations, event tracking, experimentation frameworks, scoring, and predictive analytics.

• Ability to engage effectively with Data and Engineering teams.

• Proven experience in significantly improving signup-to-paid conversion rates.

• Background in collaborating with Product teams on retention strategies.

• Demonstrated success in re-engaging dormant subscribers at scale.

• Proficiency in testing and measurement methodologies, including segmentation, personalization, testing, and analysis of results.

• Experience with leveraging LLMs and automation for content creation, segmentation, and journey management.

• Strong writing skills or experience in copy collaboration.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product and Data teams.

• Preparedness to hire and lead a team.
