Senior Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Offer legal counsel, expertise, and support across all legal areas impacting the EMEA business.

• Provide direct sales assistance to the EMEA region.

• Engage in commercial agreements within the partner ecosystem, including OEMs, VARs, and channel partners.

• Collaborate closely with internal staff on cross-functional teams.

• Negotiate business contracts with customers and channel partners for new and ongoing business opportunities.

• Ensure that agreements adhere to company policies and guidelines.

• Prepare necessary contract documentation.

• Advise management on contractual rights and responsibilities.

• Mitigate risks associated with contracts and channel partner programs.

• Gather and analyze relevant data.

• Maintain historical records.

• Balance competing priorities with business requirements and identify when to seek executive-level guidance.

• Coordinate with law firms regarding potential litigation matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree is mandatory.

• Over 7 years of post-qualification experience working in a law firm or as in-house counsel.

• Specialized knowledge in the IT industry.

• Significant experience in the EMEA region.

• Strong understanding of local work customs and cultures.

• Familiarity with legal issues affecting software companies operating in the EMEA region, including data privacy, open-source software, SaaS, IP protection, employment, and general corporate matters.

• Exceptional drafting, analytical, and negotiation capabilities.

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Necessary personal computer proficiency.

• Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Outstanding communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
