Senior Lecturer, Gender Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Teach courses independently at both Bachelor's and Master's levels.

• Assist in the preparation and oversight of Master's theses.

• Play a role in the creation and enhancement of course and assessment formats.

• Stay updated with the latest research and scholarly advancements.

• Engage in ongoing professional development in teaching and learning.

• Conduct research tasks during periods without lectures.

• Carry out administrative responsibilities, especially regarding teaching administration.

• Contribute to the interdisciplinary Master's program in Gender Studies.

• Provide courses that cover the thematic, methodological, and practical aspects of the curriculum, focusing on social sciences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed doctorate in Gender Studies or in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary gender research within another field.

• Preferred knowledge of current epistemological and methodological frameworks in gender theory.

• Several years of experience teaching independently at a post-secondary educational institution.

• Passion for imparting knowledge and a strong commitment to university teaching.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and a willingness to coordinate course content with colleagues in accordance with the degree program's requirements.

• Proficient spoken and written skills in both German and English.

• Applicants qualified to supervise Master's theses, including those with habilitation, are strongly encouraged to apply.
