
Senior Lead, Partnerships – Perks & Rewards

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take full ownership of credit card partnerships from start to finish, including sourcing, negotiating, and securing partner-funded, card-native perks.
• Enhance Wealthsimple Offers and the credit card cashback marketplace across various sectors, including travel, telecom, insurance, entertainment, grocery, and transportation.
• Foster client adoption and encourage redemption.
• Manage Milestone Rewards, overseeing mechanics, partner mix, and decisions regarding revamping, expanding, or retiring programs.
• Lead commercial negotiations from initial outreach to finalized agreements.
• Transform card and marketplace data into a pipeline for partnerships.
• Collaborate with Growth, PMM, Brand, Product, and data teams to launch, evaluate, and scale programs.
• Set targets for live offers, unique client engagement, redemption rates, and quarterly perks, linked to adoption, consolidation, and engagement.
• Identify and establish partnerships with major national brands, creating programs from the ground up.
• 7-10 years of pertinent experience in consulting, partnerships, and/or product-related roles within banking or customer-centric industries.
• Proven experience in developing or managing a perks, rewards, or loyalty program.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a sense of commercial ownership.
• A strong track record of achieving commercial results, meeting targets, and deriving value from partnerships.
• Robust analytical and commercial acumen.
• Capable of evaluating trade-offs, economics, and scalability.
• Comfortable working with spending and redemption data.
• Experience in forming and executing strategic partnerships across various stakeholders and functions.
• Background in launching, building, or scaling programs in a new market with significant independence.
• High sense of urgency, strong ownership, and a proactive approach.
• Experience with credit cards, card-linked offers, interchange, or payments is advantageous.
• Experience in a fintech, financial institution, or consumer brand with a robust loyalty program is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (Looker, Preset, Tableau, or similar) is beneficial.
• Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada.
