Senior Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, build, and sustain highly scalable, secure, and automated CI/CD pipelines for an enterprise Kubernetes environment.

• Promote the adoption of GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD or Flux.

• Enhance pipeline performance and reduce build times by removing bottlenecks and minimizing manual release process intervention.

• Incorporate security scanning, quality gates, and observability into deployment pipelines.

• Collaborate with Platform and Software Engineering teams to integrate applications and container infrastructure.

• Provide mentorship to engineers on DevOps best practices, CI/CD architecture, and GitOps methodologies.

• Architect and enhance the CI/CD ecosystem that supports Coupa’s containerized infrastructure and over 140 Kubernetes clusters.

• Create automated, secure, and seamless deployment pathways that boost release velocity while ensuring security and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in designing and managing enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for microservices, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• In-depth knowledge of GitOps deployment strategies and tools like ArgoCD or similar within Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js or alternatively in Python, Go, and Bash.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Comprehensive understanding of containerization with Docker and containerd.

• Experience with Kubernetes deployment manifests using Helm and Kustomize.

• Familiarity with integrating security and compliance checks into automated pipelines (DevSecOps).

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to build architectural consensus among engineering teams.
