Senior Labour Relations Specialist, Employee Relations and Transitions

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and manage the complete process of employee exits across various international jurisdictions.

β€’ Provide expert advice to clients regarding termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy processes.

β€’ Facilitate consultations on workforce reductions, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcome meetings.

β€’ Influence and negotiate favorable outcomes in complex termination scenarios.

β€’ Collaborate with payroll, legal representatives, government agencies, trade unions, and other relevant stakeholders.

β€’ Draft, customize, and manage termination and supplementary documents while ensuring the confidentiality of employee records.

β€’ Execute offboarding procedures using Remote’s internal HRIS platform.

β€’ Address internal and external inquiries as a subject-matter expert on offboarding.

β€’ Assist clients by guiding them through Employee Relations resources, policies, and procedures.

β€’ Perform initial assessments of workplace issues and determine applicable local regulations.

β€’ Coordinate the resolution of employee relations issues and support documentation for progressive disciplinary actions.

β€’ Track employee relations cases and ensure prompt follow-up.

β€’ Contribute to enhancements in processes, automation, product development, and initiatives aimed at improving customer and employee experiences.

β€’ Report directly to the Manager of Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, possessing generalist HR skills with exposure throughout the employee lifecycle.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with a solid background in managing both voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance; along with providing comprehensive HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.

β€’ Capability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR challenges, conduct research, offer practical solutions, and effectively communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous and unfamiliar settings.

β€’ Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline strategies, and workplace investigation essentials.

β€’ Exceptional communication, influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, with the capacity to confidently lead challenging conversations to a positive conclusion, often amid conflicting interests, while maintaining professionalism and strict confidentiality.

β€’ Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are considered advantageous.

β€’ A strong desire and capability to innovate and enhance processes, consistently identifying and implementing automation opportunities and advocating for best practices.

β€’ Operational efficiency, with an appreciation for meticulous record-keeping and data integrity.

β€’ Tech-savvy, able to collaborate asynchronously using various tools, and adapt to new and evolving systems.

β€’ Able to work independently and collaboratively within an international team in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment with multiple priorities. Willingness to adjust work hours as needed.

β€’ Proactive and self-motivated with a robust sense of ownership and accountability.

β€’ Exhibits strong automation and AI capabilities along with AI fluency.
