Senior Kubernetes Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the establishment of an on-premises failover environment.

• Facilitate the onboarding of essential applications across clearing, settlement, and risk platforms.

• Oversee and manage Kubernetes/K8s clusters.

• Set up and resolve issues with Calico CNI.

• Integrate Kubernetes CSI plugins along with storage solutions.

• Execute backup and recovery processes for Kubernetes.

• Provide support for deployment tools and automation using Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault, SonarQube, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Rancher, Harness, and Helm.

• Assist with AWS, S3, S3 replication, Kafka, and data replication efforts.

• Monitor infrastructure utilizing Splunk, Prometheus, LogicMonitor, and SignalFX.

• Manage hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures.

• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and data center operations.

• Create Python and shell scripts.

• Automate microservices and CI/CD workflows.

• Proficient Senior Kubernetes Engineer.

• Expertise in Kubernetes / K8s cluster management.

• Familiarity with Rancher RKE2.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and operations.

• Experience with Calico CNI configuration and troubleshooting.

• Skills in integrating Kubernetes CSI plugins and storage.

• Proficient in Kubernetes backup and recovery practices.

• Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault, and SonarQube.

• Proficient in GitHub, Terraform, and Ansible.

• Experience with Rancher / Harness for deployments.

• Knowledge of Helm Charts.

• Familiarity with AWS / S3 / S3 Replication.

• Experience with Kafka and data replication.

• Proficient in using Splunk, Prometheus, LogicMonitor / SignalFX.

• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery / business continuity and data center operations.

• Proficient in Python / Shell scripting.

• Experience in automating microservices and CI/CD processes.

• Nice to have: Experience with Flink-based application CI/CD and CockroachDB replication across AWS and on-premises environments.
