This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +1 more state.
• Develop and enhance relationships with key retail partners, including buyers at headquarters and divisional stakeholders.
• Oversee central region HQ call point activities, dedicating 20% of efforts to new opportunities and 80% to existing accounts.
• Strengthen connections with super regional accounts such as Meijer, HEB, HyVee, Spartan Nash, Brookshire Grocery, and Schnucks.
• Manage around 14 retailer call points.
• Drive penetration of new accounts, oversee account management, and ensure performance aligns with topline and bottomline targets.
• Align company strategies with retailer objectives to promote shared growth and long-term partnerships.
• Create and implement strategic sales plans and Joint Business Plans across still water, sparkling water, tea, and energy categories.
• Handle trade spending and forecasting through Vividly.
• Build relationships with HQ buyers and divisional managers to boost sales and secure advantageous product placements.
• Collaborate with Liquid Death DSD partners on planogram compliance, promotional initiatives, and display implementation.
• Utilize data and insights to craft evidence-based customer narratives and address critical business challenges.
• Work alongside internal teams to establish routines and achieve company sales objectives.
• Report to the Senior Director of Large Format.
• Travel domestically up to 40%, including occasional overnight stays.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Over 4 years of relevant Key Account experience engaging with HQ buyers in large format.
• Direct prior management experience with HQ Buyer relationships at HEB, Meijer, or HyVee is required.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and a readiness to navigate ambiguity while adapting to market dynamics.
• Strong presentation abilities, including the creation of slides and delivering presentations.
• Extensive experience in joint business plan (JBP) processes and HQ call relationships is required.
• Previous experience managing retailer P&L along with trade budgets and expenditures is necessary.
• Familiarity with DSD, Broadline distribution, and alternative market routes.
• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in Operations, Customer Service, Accounting, Distribution, and Finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major infractions.
• Ability to safely operate a personal vehicle for work-related tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% as necessary.
• Capability to stand in stores and sit in a vehicle for extended periods.
• Ability to lift equipment and products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must live within approximately one hour of a major commercial airport; candidates located in Michigan or Texas are preferred.
