Senior Java Spring Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create user-friendly and intuitive digital products for clients spanning various industries.

• Engage in daily development tasks, problem-solving, management, and interpersonal communication.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge projects.

• Utilize expertise in Java back-end development and the Spring ecosystem.

• Develop, refactor, and debug code using Agentic AI tools.

• Construct and sustain distributed systems and infrastructure.

• Implement CI pipelines, container orchestration, databases, caching, and monitoring tools.

• Write well-structured, testable, and efficient code.

• Partner with industry-leading clients on global initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Back-end Development using Java.

• Extensive knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and REST/gRPC.

• Familiarity with reactive patterns and JVM internals, such as memory barriers, JIT compilation, and heap management.

• Exceptional skill in utilizing Agentic AI tools like Cursor IDE and GitHub Copilot.

• Professional working knowledge of C++ is an advantage.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Redis caching layers, and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.

• Daily usage of GitLab CI pipelines and container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.

• Experience with distributed systems and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.

• Proficient in writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code, adhering to software development best practices.

• Fluent in both spoken and written English.

• Must reside in Portugal or be legally eligible and willing to live and work there.
