Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of cutting-edge trading systems.

• Architect and create distributed, event-driven trading systems that are optimized for minimal latency and high throughput.

• Design and implement frameworks for asynchronous processing and resilient messaging services.

• Collaborate with both internal and external teams to provide comprehensive, end-to-end trading workflows.

• Lead efforts in performance tuning and optimization throughout the platform.

• Mentor junior engineers while advocating for engineering best practices.

• Support both production and non-production environments.

• Engage in a weekly on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of practical experience in software design and development.

• Proficiency in Java, Python, and Linux.

• Extensive experience with low latency messaging systems, such as 29West and Kafka.

• Proficient in KDB+ or other time-series databases.

• Strong foundation in developing scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.

• Advanced understanding of low latency design patterns and performance optimization methods.

• Experience in Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, particularly in order management.

• Solid grasp of the FIX protocol and FIX engines.

• Familiarity with AI developer assistance tools like GitHub Copilot.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy.

• Practical experience in deploying applications on AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Capability to comprehend complex, end-to-end systems and identify performance, scalability, or resilience issues.

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and excel in a collaborative team setting.

• Self-directed innovation and the ability to collaborate with leadership.

• Willingness to support production systems and participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend support.
