Senior Java EE Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Continued enhancement of the current archiving solution

• Upgrading the software stack towards a highly available application ecosystem utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and contemporary DevOps methodologies

• Execution and further development of business requirements

• Management, maintenance, and optimization of existing applications

• Close collaboration with business units, Product Owners, and development teams in an agile setting

• Assisting in the modernization of the current system landscape and driving digital transformation

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in Java EE

• Strong background in developing and maintaining backend systems

• Proficient DevOps skills with a keen interest in modern cloud and container technologies

• Experience in agile development environments

• Familiarity with SAFe and Scrum methodologies; certifications are a plus

• Ability to adapt to new requirements flexibly and actively engage in change initiatives

• Independent, organized, and solution-focused work approach

• Collaborative team player with outstanding communication skills

• Proficient in both German and English
