Senior Java Developer – Tax & Accounting Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust billing applications and features, including invoice generation systems, utilizing Java 25.

• Architect and oversee highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic to enhance memory efficiency and system stability.

• Take ownership of infrastructure tasks, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and well-maintained.

• Utilize and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including Bigtable.

• Design and manage API integrations adhering to standards such as Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Implement and manage solutions in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development.

• Strong proficiency in Java.

• Familiarity with AI Coding Tools and a commitment to advancing AI adoption in the development process.

• Capability to decompose complex problems, clarify requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and design clean, well-architected solutions.

• Significant, proven experience in asynchronous environments and multi-threaded application logic.

• Experience in taking responsibility for infrastructure and ensuring system scalability and reliability.

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication skills and effective teamwork.

• Proficiency in using Git.

• Familiarity with continuous deployment pipelines such as GitLab.

• Experience with agile methodologies including monthly scope planning and regular code reviews.
