Senior Java Developer – E-Commerce, Accounting SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust billing applications and features, including systems for invoice generation, utilizing Java 25.

• Architect and oversee highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic to ensure memory efficiency and system stability.

• Take ownership of infrastructure tasks, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and well-maintained.

• Utilize and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including Bigtable.

• Design and uphold high-quality API integrations adhering to standards such as Swagger/OpenAPI.

• Implement and manage solutions within cloud environments, preferably GCP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in Java.

• Experience with AI Coding Tools and a keen interest in promoting AI Adoption in the development process.

• Proficiency in deconstructing complex problems, clarifying requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and designing clean, well-architected solutions.

• Solid, proven experience in asynchronous environments and multi-threaded application logic.

• Experience in taking ownership of infrastructure while ensuring system scalability and reliability.

• Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication skills and effective teamwork capabilities.

• Familiarity with Git.

• Experience with continuous deployment pipelines such as GitLab.

• Knowledge of agile practices, including monthly scope planning and regular code reviews.
