Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve backend applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop and manage BFFs (Backend for Frontend) to facilitate integration and communication between frontend and backend services.

• Create APIs and establish integrations with both internal and external systems.

• Engage with microservices architecture and distributed application environments.

• Take part in architectural discussions and solution design initiatives.

• Utilize AWS services in both the development and operational phases of applications.

• Develop solutions that incorporate messaging and asynchronous processing.

• Analyze and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and scalability.

• Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.

• Provide support to fellow developers on the team as necessary.

• Contribute to enhancements in application development, deployment, and observability processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with Java, ideally with recent versions.

• In-depth knowledge of Spring Boot.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining BFFs (Backend for Frontend).

• Experience in developing REST APIs and system integrations.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, specifically with services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.

• Experience with relational databases, and ideally, NoSQL databases.

• Knowledge of Docker and containerization.

• Background in messaging or event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Kafka; Kubernetes; Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools; DDD, Clean Architecture, or Hexagonal Architecture; observability, monitoring, and production troubleshooting; experience in high-availability environments or high-traffic applications; familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices.
