Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain applications utilizing Java and JVM-based programming languages.

• Create and manage microservices and APIs with Spring Boot and Node.js.

• Develop and uphold containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Implement and manage continuous integration pipelines along with automated deployment strategies.

• Construct unit tests and adopt TDD and BDD methodologies.

• Engage in teams that apply agile practices, particularly Scrum.

• Operate within both public and private cloud environments.

• Guarantee code quality, readability, test coverage, and maintainability.

• Employ DevOps tools and methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Work with technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, and SQL Server.

• Collaborate with team members to identify and rectify technical challenges.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes, systems, and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in Software Engineering.

• Extensive experience with Java and/or JVM-based programming languages.

• Experience in developing and managing systems.

• Familiarity with microservices and APIs using Spring Boot and Node.js.

• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, including vanilla Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam.

• Familiarity with continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, and BDD practices.

• Experience with or knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.

• A collaborative and proactive approach, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
