Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Enhance existing Java systems by contributing to refactoring, architectural improvements, and the addition of new features.

• Conduct evolutionary and corrective maintenance while continuously refactoring the codebase.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define technical solutions.

• Take ownership of delivery quality, which includes implementation, testing, code reviews, and validation.

• Work with technical independence, act as a technical reference within the team, and foster the technical development of fellow developers.

• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Utilize AI tools and resources to enhance development processes and boost productivity.

• Function within a business-domain-focused environment, possessing a deep understanding of regulations in the financial sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Java development, including proficiency with Java versions 6, 8, and 11.

• Proven experience in developing and evolving Java applications within monolithic architectures.

• Familiarity with Spring for API development.

• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit.

• Strong understanding of Clean Code principles, SOLID design principles, and code refactoring techniques.

• Ability to read, analyze, and refactor complex codebases.

• Plus: Basic knowledge of React.

• Plus: Experience or familiarity with Spec Driven Development (SDD).

• Plus: Interest in or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
