Senior Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create software by coding applications, programs, and systems in line with project specifications and requirements.

• Conduct tests on the developed software to identify and rectify issues, bugs, and defects.

• Ensure high delivery quality, adhere to deadlines, and uphold customer satisfaction.

• Document code to ease future product maintenance and updates.

• Assist the development team by offering technical guidance and leadership to deliver effective solutions.

• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Investigate and incorporate new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Oversee and support production systems by identifying issues and implementing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence in software development, including tools such as Devin, Cursor, or Gemini.

• Familiarity with AI API integration.

• Comprehension of Large Language Model (LLM) concepts.

• Awareness of best practices for integrating AI into backend applications.

• Proficiency in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Knowledge of Spring Boot.

• Understanding of microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Sybase databases.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or Kanban.

• Strong and effective communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Knowledge of creating and monitoring batch processing, preferably using Spring Batch.

• Experience with systems integration patterns.

• Certification in programming languages (preferred).

• Cloud certification (preferred).
