Senior Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create software by developing code for applications, programs, and systems based on project specifications and requirements.

• Conduct tests on the developed software, pinpointing and rectifying code issues, bugs, and defects.

• Ensure the quality of deliverables, meet deadlines, and maintain customer satisfaction.

• Document code to aid in product maintenance and future updates.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team in delivering effective solutions.

• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Monitor and track production systems, identifying problems and executing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in a programming language (preferred).

• Certification in cloud technologies (preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with artificial intelligence in software development, including tools such as Devin, Cursor, or Gemini.

• Experience with integrating AI APIs.

• Understanding of large language model (LLM) principles.

• Knowledge of best practices for implementing AI in backend applications.

• Proficiency in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Experience with Spring Boot.

• Understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Sybase databases.

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Background in team collaboration using Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, or Kanban).

• Strong communication skills and the capability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in creating and monitoring batch processing, ideally utilizing Spring Batch.

• Familiarity with system integration patterns.
