Senior ITO Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead interdisciplinary teams across Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Licensing, Digital Technology, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), Scheduling, Cost Management, Risk Assessment, and other departments to outline project scope, timeline, budget, and execution strategy during the proposal stage.

• Collaborate with functional teams and leadership to determine the resources necessary for executing proposed tasks and ensure alignment with business capabilities.

• Coordinate input from both internal and external stakeholders to reach agreement on scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

• Create detailed project schedules and cost projections, recognizing and accounting for cost drivers associated with the project.

• Assist the Commercial Operations Leader with project management outputs for customer proposals, including scope, timelines, budgets, execution strategies, and risk assessments.

• Identify and evaluate project risks, developing mitigation strategies for project plans and commercial risk evaluations.

• Integrate relevant lessons learned from the internal database into new proposal development.

• Provide insights and feedback from ongoing projects to the lessons-learned database.

• Occasionally oversee or support OTR contracts and stay updated on execution status to ensure readiness for execution.

• Develop and distribute proposal/project documents and facilitate internal reviews to ensure compliance with contract specifications, GVH processes and procedures, as well as applicable nuclear laws and regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a college with 5+ years of experience as a project manager, OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of project-related experience.

• Demonstrated experience in project management or technical leadership with large-scale, First-of-a-Kind (FOAK), complex initiatives.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Must be capable of obtaining authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

• Strong capability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the project management perspective to clients and senior leadership.

• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.

• Proven ability to manage multiple overlapping proposal deadlines and shifting priorities.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a STEM field.

• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

• Experience managing large-scale and/or mega projects, particularly within the nuclear sector.

• Familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs.
