Senior IT Security Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and oversee IT security measures and comprehensive security strategies.

• Convert strategies into a database-supported content management system.

• Perform risk assessments to identify protection needs and establish appropriate countermeasures.

• Offer training and expert assistance in the formulation, maintenance, and enhancement of IT security strategies and policies.

• Consult with technical product owners and IT security officers, especially regarding the utilization of the ISMS tool.

• Coordinate and integrate new IT-Grundschutz and BSI requirements into existing security frameworks.

• Execute internal audits in line with relevant standards and assist with IT security-related inquiries.

• Develop, evaluate, and manage security-related documentation.

• Collaborate with team members on various initiatives and in a range of public-sector client settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree, vocational training, or equivalent qualification in IT or a related discipline.

• Multiple years of relevant professional experience in IT security or information security.

• Strong background in information security processes, risk management, and business continuity management.

• Excellent knowledge in the creation, implementation, and assessment of IT security policies and frameworks.

• Experience in evaluating high-availability systems and determining actions based on baseline assessments and advanced risk evaluations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of BSI Standards 200-1, 200-2, 200-3, and 100-4, in addition to the IT-Grundschutz Compendium.
