Senior IT Quality Engineer – Medi-Cal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead quality engineering initiatives for intricate software solutions in a multi-platform setting.

• Strategize, design, and create both manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test data.

• Conduct functional, regression, smoke, performance, stress, and platform testing.

• Spearhead and execute thorough test strategies, encompassing non-functional testing.

• Design, develop, and enhance sophisticated automation frameworks and tools.

• Oversee work direction while offering leadership, influence, constructive feedback, and mentorship to team members.

• Analyze and troubleshoot complex quality issues using advanced debugging methods.

• Define and monitor quality metrics, providing insights to stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and quality standards.

• Deploy quality tools, services, and best practices through collaboration within IT.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

• Confirm and comply with job-specific security responsibilities and controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

• A high school diploma from an accredited institution or an equivalent GED is required.

• 5 years of professional experience in software testing and/or engineering.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring a work visa or residency sponsorship.

• Demonstrated capability to lead, influence, and provide technical guidance, along with work direction, feedback, and mentorship to Quality Engineering teams.

• Experience in developing and executing comprehensive test strategies for complex, enterprise-level solutions, including non-functional testing.

• Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with the healthcare or PBM industry and relevant regulatory, security, and quality standards, including HIPAA.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.

• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including advanced debugging techniques.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.

• Expertise in database testing and validation using SQL and large-scale databases such as Oracle.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Preferred: experience leading testing in multi-platform settings.

• Preferred: experience in defining, collecting, and tracking quality metrics.

• Preferred: experience with test automation and/or performance testing.

• Preferred: experience leading testing efforts across web, mobile, API, and microservices.

• Preferred: experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.

• Preferred: experience in evaluating and implementing testing tools and quality best practices.

• Preferred: certifications in quality engineering or automation testing.
