
Senior IT Project Manager – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee 3–5 small to medium-sized projects from inception to completion.
• Organize and lead meetings with project stakeholders.
• Create, evaluate, and manage project plans, timelines, and resource forecasts.
• Handle project financials and provide analysis and justification for costs and budget implications.
• Track project performance against established plans and make adjustments as necessary.
• Identify and address issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Support requests for information and the vendor request-for-proposal processes.
• Request resources and coordinate the work of the assigned project team.
• Communicate project goals and objectives effectively, coordinating team activities.
• Control, manage, and mitigate project risks, including developing contingency plans and managing dependencies.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal clients, third-party vendors, and senior management.
• Offer insights and recommendations to Portfolio/Program Managers.
• Adhere to enterprise project management methodologies and engage in training opportunities.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics.
• Collect, maintain, and share lessons learned and feedback.
• Provide additional support, such as managing vendor requests, delivering training materials, executing operational/business tasks, and overseeing reports or databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, including over 8 years of relevant IT or business experience.
• At least 5 years of involvement in projects that require the implementation of project life cycle methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and conducting ROI analysis of financial technology investments.
• Experience in influencing and managing project teams without formal direct reporting relationships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with intricate interdependencies.
• Comprehensive understanding of finance processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with the integration of finance systems and enterprise platforms.
• Capability to build consensus and align finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Expertise in vendor management.
• Exceptional communication skills for updating project status, risks, and financial implications to executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional finance technology projects from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS (Financials, Procurement, etc.) and other financial technologies (e.g., SAP, Workday).
• Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks specific to finance technology implementations.
• Experience in managing change within regulated environments (SOX, GDPR, etc.).
• Ability to develop and implement contingency plans for critical finance systems.
• Experience in gathering lessons learned and promoting process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Must work Eastern Standard Time hours regardless of location.
• Must have a stationary home office setup that allows for camera use 90% of the workday.
• Home office environment including an HD webcam, hardwired high-speed internet, and a stationary workstation.
