Senior IT Project Manager – Disaster Recovery, Cyber Resilience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive execution of Disaster Recovery and cyber resilience projects across various regions and locations.

• Manage the setup of an in-region co-location disaster recovery facility, which includes network connectivity, storage solutions, Nutanix, VMware, firewalls, and onboarding of applications.

• Facilitate disaster recovery enablement and recovery readiness for critical business applications, encompassing recovery planning, testing, and site failover drills.

• Lead the deployment of Ansible-based recovery automation, which involves automated technical runbooks and recovery playbooks.

• Oversee cyber resilience projects, including Citrix modernization, Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), malware protection, and the remediation of identified security vulnerabilities.

• Coordinate efforts among Infrastructure, Network, Security, Applications, Business Continuity, vendors, and regional/site stakeholders.

• Take ownership of project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, dependency management, RAID management, governance, and executive reporting.

• Ensure that disaster recovery solutions are tested, documented, transitioned to operations, and capable of achieving specified recovery objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a similar field.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, ideally in Disaster Recovery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or business continuity projects.

• A robust understanding of Disaster Recovery principles, business continuity, recovery testing, failover processes, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Experience in regulated pharmaceutical settings (GxP documentation preferred).

• Proven experience in managing infrastructure projects that involve VMware, Nutanix, storage, networking, firewalls, and co-location/data center environments.

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and recovery orchestration; experience with Ansible is highly beneficial.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including MFA, malware protection, Citrix, and security remediation strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in managing global or multi-site projects, technical vendors, risks, budgets, and cross-functional delivery teams.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, governance, and executive reporting.

• Proficient in business English with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams.
