Senior IT Implementation Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rwanda, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary consultant for significant implementations with government ministries and large NGOs.

• Comprehend business processes, technologies, and complex datasets.

• Create solutions for data integration and automate workflows.

• Ensure client success through effective project execution, team guidance, and collaboration with stakeholders.

• Consult with both technical and non-technical teams within government and NGO sectors across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

• Identify potential automation opportunities.

• Design and assist in the delivery of automation solutions using the OpenFn platform and AI technologies.

• Conduct remote consultations, discovery sessions, and workshops.

• Execute solution design and oversee technical implementation.

• Perform API discovery tasks.

• Collaborate with software engineers to generate specifications and implement OpenFn workflow automation solutions.

• Provide training and mentorship to team members and partner implementers regarding solution design and best practices in IT implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in data or technology roles, including Data Integration, Workflow Automation, Technology Consulting, Business Analysis, Data Management, Data Analysis, Software Development, or Systems Administration.

• 3-5+ years experience in a consulting or client-facing position providing technical advice, IT implementation services, technical training, or customer support.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset with the capability to interpret ambiguous data and Excel spreadsheets.

• Familiarity with information systems, mobile data collection tools, SQL databases, CRMs, business intelligence solutions, and open-source software.

• Proficiency in English.

• Willingness to travel internationally at least twice a year.

• Strong understanding of REST API fundamentals, JSON, and JavaScript is a significant advantage.

• Practical experience with Postman and workflow automation or integration platforms is a considerable benefit.

• A background in international development, digital public goods, GovTech, TechForGood, or global health is highly advantageous.

• Ability to work from home or in a shared office with reliable, high-speed internet, ideally located in a country within the Africa/Europe time zones.

• Experience in business process analysis, documentation, and workflow modeling using BPMN or UML.

• Proficiency in data integration, REST APIs, ETL processes and tools, workflow automation, data systems design, data management, or systems administration.

• Familiarity with software testing and/or writing technical specifications.

• Experience in technology consulting for NGO and government partners and/or remote multifunctional teams from diverse countries.

• Background in IT project management.

• Experience in team leadership and personnel management.

• Working proficiency in another language, preferably French or Spanish.
