
Senior IT Engineer – Voice Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Report to the Voice/Telecom Engineering Manager in the Network and Infrastructure Department.
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, engineers, advisors, Enterprise Architects, application teams, and third-party vendors.
• Plan, budget, and manage the evaluation, selection, implementation, operation, and performance of technologies and third-party vendors.
• Develop and implement technology strategy and roadmaps.
• Create, document, communicate, and enforce infrastructure technology standards.
• Automate processes to deliver continuous solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
• Oversee outcomes generated by third-party supplier vendors.
• Foster relationships with internal customers across OhioHealth business units and service lines.
• Communicate, coordinate, manage expectations, approve, and assist with crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, capacity management, and other ITIL processes.
• Analyze, plan, justify, schedule, and coordinate administrative, operational, and financial initiatives within specialty areas.
• Manage total cost of ownership, optimization, and efficiency initiatives.
• Oversee supplier reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reports.
• Plan, monitor, and control operating and capital budgets for assigned domains.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 8 years of technical engineering experience.
• Eight years in a technical engineering role.
• Involvement in process improvement or project work.
• Subject matter expertise in specialized technologies that support clinical operations and information systems.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret business drivers.
• Skills in project management and process excellence.
• Strong analytical, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Advanced technical knowledge of telecom/voice application platforms for contact center/CCaaS, wireless communications, overhead paging, and/or faxing.
• Capability to function at both tactical and operational levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a highly matrixed environment.
• Proficiency in driving changes related to people, processes, and technology.
• Ability to manage ambiguity, solve problems, and guide resources toward deadlines.
• Knowledge of regulatory and contractual compliance is advantageous.
• Experience leading large, complex projects across multiple functional departments is beneficial.
• Experience in a complex healthcare organization is a plus.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences is desirable.
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Day shift.
• Remote work from Ohio.
