Senior Investigative Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide investigative assistance to a committed federal government client in the role of Senior Investigative Analyst.

• Aid in the evaluation of threats, critical incidents, and criminal research activities.

• Gather, process, and assess information to pinpoint potential and emerging threats.

• Create keyword and alert frameworks to enhance collection efficiency.

• Translate and evaluate materials in foreign languages.

• Monitor national and international open-source environments, including social media platforms, news outlets, blogs, and the dark web.

• Deliver real-time OSINT intelligence updates during crisis situations.

• Offer remote or on-site analytical support, producing analytic products, briefings, and visualizations.

• Generate intelligence reports, threat assessments, and both executive and operational briefings.

• Assist with event security risk assessments and deliver professional analytical work products.

• Integrate and evaluate multiple data sources to identify trends.

• Conduct analysis, develop data, prepare briefs, and provide reach-back support across analytic and law enforcement officials.

• Collaborate with insider threat, cyber, and physical security teams, sharing intelligence with government agencies.

• Analyze data provided by clients to detect crime and evaluate customer workflows.

• Support clients in understanding, implementing, and following best practices for crime-solution products.

• Utilize Microsoft tools, ESRI ArcGIS, i2 Analyst’s Notebook, and LexisNexis proprietary solutions.

• Maintain client relationships through thorough analysis over the contract lifecycle.

• Represent LexisNexis Risk Solutions at events involving customers.

• Take part in product testing, development of training content, and assessment of new products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.

• Over 4 years of experience in law enforcement.

• Ability to maintain data integrity and adhere to legal, ethical, information security, and OPSEC standards.

• Self-driven and adaptable.

• Proficient in applying logical reasoning to solve problems.

• Skilled in research and problem-solving techniques.

• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

• Experience in managing large customer-facing solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Familiarity with i2 Analyst’s Notebook, PowerBI, and ESRI is an advantage.

• Preferred experience with LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

• Capacity to provide thoughtful recommendations.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, afternoons, and evenings.

• Must reside in Eastern or Central time zones (US).

• US citizenship is required.

• Must successfully pass the company's background check and an enhanced criminal background check.

• Must obtain and maintain compliance with the FBI Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) security policy and relevant state and local law enforcement requirements.
