This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +4 more countries.
• Serve as a senior HR authority on intricate employee relations issues across designated countries, especially within several European nations.
• Offer practical advice on high-stakes and sensitive matters, including performance management, misconduct, investigations, and terminations.
• Navigate local legal frameworks to ensure compliance while aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and Oyster clients on complex personnel challenges.
• Prepare country-specific HR information and documentation.
• Utilize AI and automation tools to create, update, and scale HR documentation.
• Address HR inquiries that remain unresolved by Lifecycle Operations teams.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance the internal team's knowledge on HR subjects.
• Enhance country-specific HR resources and participate in customer calls.
• Work in tandem with Customer Support, Sales, Product, and Legal teams to resolve country-specific concerns.
• Review and improve workflows to minimize response times and elevate service quality.
• Examine ticket trends and inquiries to pinpoint systemic issues and develop preventative resources.
• Lead People Services and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Extensive expertise in employee relations across multiple countries, particularly in complex and high-risk scenarios, including investigations, PIPs, and terminations.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in ER and HR generalist roles.
• Proficiency in Portuguese, Italian, and/or Spanish would be advantageous.
• Experience with cross-country HR operations and a global perspective across regions such as APAC, EMEA, AMER, or LATAM.
• A nuanced understanding of local HR practices, norms, and expectations.
• Capability to translate complex employment topics into actionable guidance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to present to senior leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Digital literacy and hands-on experience with AI tools for drafting, research, and data analysis are highly regarded.
• Proven ability to optimize processes, scale operations, and engage in proactive problem-solving.
• Previous experience in a metrics-driven environment focused on speed, accuracy, and quality.
• Experience with EOR and knowledge of international employment/compliance is a plus.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a bonus.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or global tech environment is a plus.
• Experience with implementing AI tools or automation workflows in HR or Operations is a plus.
• A reliable home internet connection is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Must reside within UTC+0 to UTC+3 time zones.
