Senior Integrated Design Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee Integrated Design Management initiatives across various projects or buildings within a campus or region.

• Facilitate early alignment on essential systems, design assumptions, and high-cost scope components.

• Ensure third-party design teams are accountable for design quality, adherence to schedules, and readiness for decision-making.

• Conduct structured design reviews, coordination meetings focused on decisions, and discussions on technical alignment.

• Guarantee the consistent application of design gating and internal ADC project standards, including CDE, CCL, technical bulletins, and risk tracking.

• Manage project risk registers from land enablement to the transition to Operations.

• Collaborate with Senior Construction Managers regarding construction sequencing, constructability, and execution requirements.

• Assist in the establishment of standardized design durations, milestones, and performance indicators.

• Mentor and offer functional and technical support to Integrated Design Managers and Associate Integrated Design Managers.

• Help with project dashboards, quarterly updates, and communications with leadership.

• Aid in customer interface activities during fit-out design and technical integration.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement, KPI development, and enhancement of IDM tools, workflows, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in managing complex commercial or mission-critical design programs.

• Strong background in data center or other technical industry design and construction.

• Proven capability to lead multiple projects at once and mentor junior team members.

• In-depth understanding of design coordination, system integration, cost drivers, and constructability.

• Advanced skills in Excel, Smartsheets, and design management platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel out of home market up to 25 percent; time on site varies based on project requirements.
