This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Provide support to the Servicing and Asset Management department as the key resource for insurance oversight and compliance for a designated portfolio of commercial loans.
• Oversee insurance renewals and ensure the prompt receipt of evidence of coverage, premium invoices, and other necessary documentation.
• Evaluate, analyze, and interpret property and liability insurance policies to ensure adherence to loan agreements, lender stipulations, government regulations, and internal policies.
• Compile and review loan and collateral data, including replacement cost assessments, loss of income calculations, third-party evaluations, and local ordinances.
• Execute Blanket and Flood Analysis for intricate insurance policies.
• Communicate with lenders, borrowers, insurance agents, and insurance companies to address non-compliance issues and resolve discrepancies.
• Collect documentation and assess the feasibility of waivers and associated risks for lender waiver requests.
• Monitor escalation of non-compliance issues concerning potential force-placed insurance and collaborate with Insurance Management.
• Assess casualty losses and provide guidance to internal and external clients regarding insurance coverage and requirements for loss proceeds.
• Assist with insurance processes for new loan setups, significant events, loan transfers, flood zone monitoring, data gathering for audits, system enhancement testing, and special projects.
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal colleagues and resolve discrepancies related to insurance.
• Update loan servicing systems, shared drives, and lender applications promptly and thoroughly.
• Ensure adherence to Insurance Team policies and procedures while recommending improvements to processes.
• Serve as the primary contact for insurance-related matters for an assigned portfolio.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of experience in Commercial Property insurance.
• Familiarity with various types of commercial property insurance policies and the ability to read and interpret them.
• Experience in a commercial insurance agency and/or servicing role.
• Background in insurance compliance, including knowledge of coverage discrepancies, industry standards, and government regulations.
• Capability to understand complex loan documents and third-party reports such as appraisals, surveys, and title documents.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients at all levels within an organization.
• Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, follow through on commitments, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, processing high volumes of work, including potential overtime as necessary.

• Ability to evaluate stakeholders involved and determine the appropriate actions for resolving escalated issues.

• Preferred: insurance certifications/designations such as CIC, ARM, AU, CLCS, CPCU, CISR.
• Preferred: background in commercial multifamily insurance compliance related to FNMA, FHLMC, and FHA/GNMA.
• Preferred: previous experience in commercial real estate loan servicing.
• A 4-year degree is preferred.
