This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Educate consumers about health insurance options available through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace.
• Evaluate the coverage needs of individuals and families and clarify the different plan options accessible to them.
• Detail the aspects of plans including premiums, deductibles, copays, provider networks, prescription coverage, and other features.
• Assist consumers in navigating the ACA Marketplace application and enrollment process.
• Deliver professional and consultative customer service.
• Keep accurate records of customer information, application details, and enrollment documentation.
• Follow up with both prospective and enrolled consumers.
• Achieve sales, conversion, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer experience goals.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Marketplace, carrier, licensing, and company regulations.
• Maintain necessary insurance licenses, certifications, carrier appointments, and Marketplace credentials.
• Engage in continuous training, coaching, performance development, and team meetings.
• Navigate various computer systems and applications while assisting customers.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Active Health or Health/Life Insurance License in good standing.
• Active National Producer Number (NPN).
• Newly licensed insurance agents are encouraged to apply; prior experience in ACA sales is not a necessity.
• Previous experience in ACA, health insurance, telesales, call center, or customer service is preferred.
• Capability to complete and maintain all required ACA Marketplace/FFM registration and training before conducting Marketplace enrollments.
• Ability to meet applicable carrier contracting and appointment criteria.
• Strong verbal communication, listening, and customer service abilities.
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven sales environment focused on goals.
• Coachable, reliable, professional, and motivated to grow within the insurance sector.
• Proficient in computer navigation with the ability to learn and operate within multiple systems.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a remote team atmosphere.
• Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote workspace.
• Ability to uphold required licensing, certifications, and continuing education obligations.
• Willingness to work additional hours, evenings, or weekends as business needs demand, particularly during peak Open Enrollment periods.
